Season Update – June 4, 2020

June 4, 2020

Due to the unprecedented situation caused by COVID-19, the Langley Baseball Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the Spring Baseball season.  While we are in Phase II of the Provincial Government’s Restart Plan, Baseball BC has not lifted any restrictions regarding on field baseball activities.  We understand in the near future they MIGHT give approval for limited practice opportunities, however the return to actual game play this summer is unlikely.  As such we feel it is prudent to suspend our Spring baseball season.

This does not mean the season is over as we are looking at summer development programs once we have clear direction from Baseball BC.   We will also host a Fall Ball Season from September to mid-October or with an earlier start date if possible to allow for as much baseball as we can get in.

As such the Board has approved to carry over all of your fees to the next (2021) Spring Season.  If your child changes age divisions you will not be charged the difference.  If you would prefer to receive a refund we are offering 60% of your fee due to monies already spent (uniforms, field prep, etc) in preparation for the Spring Season.

Please contact Shawna Slogocki at with your decision if you have not already responded.

A separate and new registration will be required for any summer development programs or Fall Ball.

I would like to thank the Board for their tireless efforts in navigating through this rapidly evolving situation and to the Langley Baseball membership for their understanding and patience while waiting for answers and direction.

Thank you,
Tyler Watt
President of Langley Baseball
