We are deeply sorry to inform everyone of the tragic loss of Mike Whitmey who died suddenly in a car accident on Monday, March 18, 2019.

Mike was a wonderful father, coach and leader of our community. He was a great supporter for everyone he was around. Mike will always be remembered for his passion to work hard and help others succeed and achieve their goals. He coached and volunteered in Langley City Baseball for 8 years and made great strides in improving people and our association on and off the field in so many ways.  Mike was a leader and he was never afraid to step into new territory if he knew it benefited others in a positive way.

Mike will always be remembered for his great smile, passion and hard work to help people.  He was a father, brother and son to us all.

You will always be in our hearts!

With deepest sympathy,

Tyler Watt, President
Langley Baseball Association

I just heard the news toady. I was shocked and deeply saddened. I went to school with Mike at Brooswood Secondary in Langley. He was a year younger than me. We hang around in the same crowd growing up together thru high school.
He was such a great guy. I would run into him from time to time over the years and he always had a smile and up beat attitude. One of those guys who was always uplifting and made you feel better after seeing him. Sad to think I won’t be running into him any more.
    You will be missed Mike!!

I am so sad, I love you Mike and I always will…you are a brother to me, you always will be. My heart breaks for Kate and Kaden, you and Chae did an amazing job of raising them, they’ll eventually be okay! When I was in my accident you did so much for me and I’ll never forget it, and even after you gave me a job cleaning your stores which I was so grateful for! Love you Mike❤️Luv Chels
